Personnel Licensing

The Personnel Licensing Section is responsible for aeronautical personnel licensing/oversight and the certification/ oversight of aeronautical personnel training organizations.

The Personnel Licensing Section is empowered to perform the following tasks:

• draft of amendments of national regulatory framework in the personnel licensing area of the civil aviation of the Republic of Moldova, based on international civil aviation standards and recommended practices, of which the Republic of Moldova is a member state;

• ensuring the execution of national regulatory framework for:

  • issue/ revalidation/ renewal and validation of licenses and associated ratings of aeronautical personnel, limitation/ suspension/ revocation of aeronautical personnel licences;

  • issue/ suspension/ revocation of cabin crew attestations;

  • validation of aeronautic personnel licences issued by ICAO member States;

  • approval/ oversight of training organizations for aeronautic personnel;

  • limitation/ suspension/ revocation of certificates of approved training organizations for aeronautic personnel;

  • acceptance of training organizations for aeronautical personnel approved in compliance with Regulation (EU) 1178/2011.

  • conduct inspections for approval/ oversight of training organizations;

  • conduct inspections for licensing/ oversight of aeronautical personnel;

  • conduct theoretical knowledge examinations for aeronautical personnel.
