The main responsibility of the Aviation Personnel Licensing Section is the management of the certification process of civil aviation personnel and training organizations providing training to civil aviation personnel, in accordance with applicable national and international regulations.
Main functions include:
- Aircrew certification
Issue, revalidation, renewal, modification, conversion, validation, limitation, suspension or revocation of certificates/attestations for:- Pilots
- Flight engineers
- Flight attendants
- Personnel other than aircrew certification
- Air traffic controllers
- Flight dispatchers
- Training organizations and simulator organizations certification
Issue, continuous oversight, modification, limitation, suspension or revocation of training organization certificates. - Assessment of professional skills
- Organization/supervision of theoretical and practical examinations for aviation personnel
- Approval/acceptance of courses and simulator practical training
- Language proficiency assessment in accordance with international standards
- Regulation development and approval
Contribution to the drafting, updating and approval of normative acts in the field of civil aviation. - Acceptance of EASA-licensed instructors and examiners
Applying the procedure for accepting certified pilot instructors and examiners by EU Member States' aeronautical authorities, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011. - Acceptance of EU training organizations
Applying the procedure for accepting certificates issued by EU Member States' aeronautical authorities for pilot training organizations, as per Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011. - International collaboration
Active cooperation with international organizations and other civil aviation partners for harmonizing standards and exchanging best practices.
