The Safety management and compliance department is a structural subdivision of the CAA that operates within its assigned field of competence, contributing to the fulfillment of the CAA’s mission, core functions, and main responsibilities. It is established to ensure and enhance the quality of the CAA’s activities through continuous oversight of its subdivisions.
Mission of the Safety management and compliance department:
- Organizing and conducting compliance monitoring audits of CAA subdivisions.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the Stat Safety Program.
- Collecting, classifying, monitoring, and reporting flight safety-related non-compliances identified during audits and inspections of aviation entities by CAA inspectors.
- Facilitating the identification of safety hazards and risk analysis and exercising oversight over CAA subdivisions involved in supervising the safety management systems of aviation entities.
- Contributing to the management of safety data.
- Monitoring the risk management process related to flight safety.
- Managing and monitoring the change management process for flight safety.
- Developing, implementing, and managing the National Aviation Safety Plan.
