Managerial Restructuring within the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announces that, starting August 6, 2025, the Director of the CAA, Mr. Vasile Șaramet, has resigned from his position, following the submission of his resignation, which was accepted by the Government.

The position of Director has been assumed by Mr. Andrei Cebanu, officially appointed during the Government meeting held on August 6, 2025. He will begin his full duties as of August 7, 2025.

Mr. Andrei Cebanu is a civil aviation professional with a solid career within the CAA, where he has held both technical and administrative positions. He is highly regarded for his professionalism, precision, and vision focused on operational efficiency and safety.

The entire team of the Civil Aviation Authority expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Vasile Șaramet for his over eight years of dedicated service within the institution.

Under his leadership, the CAA has achieved significant progress in strengthening safety standards, increasing institutional capacity, and developing a strong organizational culture.
