Maintenance works on the main runway at Chișinău International Airport

Starting today at 09:00, routine maintenance work will begin on the main runway 08/26 at Chișinău International Airport, in accordance with the planned schedule. Completion is estimated by 12 June 2025.

During the maintenance period, all flight operations will be transferred to the alternate runway 09/27.

Please note that runway 09/27 is not equipped with Instrument Landing Systems (ILS). Therefore, in adverse weather conditions—especially dense fog below allowable visibility limits—some flights may be redirected to alternate airports.

The decision to begin the works was made by the Chișinău International Airport administration, taking into account both the need to ensure operational safety and the favorable weather forecasts for the period, which allow for efficient execution without major disruption to flight schedules.
