Assessment of the implementation of the Common Aviation Area Agreement – Mission concluded

Today, the concluding meeting of the European Commission's assessment mission on the implementation of the Common Aviation Area Agreement took place. The mission, held between 12–16 May 2025 under the coordination of the European Commission, was hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova.

The mission focused on aligning national legislation with the EU acquis, analyzing areas such as aviation safety and security, environmental protection, market access, consumer protection, and social standards.

During the visit, European experts held meetings with key state institutions and air operators to assess the progress made in the civil aviation sector.

At the closing meeting, EU experts noted the good preparation and conduct of the visit, as well as the progress achieved in implementing the European acquis in the field of civil aviation. The final results of the assessment will be presented by the European Commission in the coming months.

The Civil Aviation Authority thanks all institutions for their cooperation and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the European integration process in the field of civil aviation.
