ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT

OF AERONAUTICAL PERSONNEL

GENERAL INFORMATION

English language proficiency assessment tests is ensured to be conducted by examiners approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), within the CAA.

The candidate may request an assessment of English language proficiency in accordance with:

1. National test - English Language Proficiency (ELP), for pilots and air traffic controllers.

• To familiarize yourself with the conduct and structure of the language proficiency assessment test for pilots access: English Language Proficiency for PICs.

• To familiarize yourself with the conduct and structure of the language proficiency assessment test for air traffic control access: English Language Proficiency for ATCO.

Or

2. ELPAC test - English language proficiency in aeronautical communication.

• To familiarize yourself with the conduct and structure of the English language proficiency test for air traffic controllers and pilots accessed: https://elpac.eurocontrol.int/prepare_test.html.

SCHEDULE OF EXAMINATION SESSIONS

For the purpose of English language proficienc assessment, the applicant shall complete and submit to CAA Secretary the application form for the English proficiency test using the mailbox located at the entrance. The applicant will submit the form no later than 5 days before the date set (according to the schedule below) for the conduct of the evaluation sessions. Following the examination of the submitted form, the applicant will be informed two days in advance, by e-mail or telephone, about the exact date and time of the evaluation session.

The language proficiency assessment sessions in English will take place on Mondays and Thursdays, from 09.00. The maximum number of candidates that can participate in an assessment session is 4 people per day. Candidates are admitted to the examination room starting at 09:00.

RE-EVALUATION OF THE CANDIDATE

If the candidate has failed to take the English language proficiency test, the provisions of p. 3.4.10 of the Manual on the English Language Proficiency Assessment (ICAO language proficiency requirements) approved by the CAA shall be applied. IMPORTANT

Given the pandemic situation caused by Covid-19, it is necessary for both examiners and candidates to comply with protection measures:

• social distance;

• wearing protective masks;

• sanitation of hands and equipment related to conducting evaluations.
