Air Navigation Division activities are:
1. Focal point in the process of air navigation services provider certification and instrument flight procedures design organization approvals.
2. Focal point in the processes of ongoing oversight and monitoring of the compliance of the air navigation services providers and instrument flight procedures design organizations with applicable requirements.
In the Republic of Moldova (R.M.), air navigation services provider and instrument flight procedures design organization, certified and designated in this respect, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulatory framework in force, is the state enterprise “MoldATSA”.

3. Working with Rulemaking Division and contributing to the development, by transposing and maintaining, the national regulatory framework for the ATM / ANS domain, as regards the transposition of ICAO Standards and Recommendations practices reflects in the following annexes:
Annex 2: Rules of the Air
Annex 3: Meteorological Services
Annex 4: Aeronautical charts
Annex 5: Units of Measurement
Annex 10: Aeronautical Telecommunications
Annex 11: Air Traffic Services
Annex 15: Aeronautical Information Services
4. Working with Rulemaking Division and contributing to the development, by transposing and maintaining, the national regulatory framework for the ATM / ANS domain as regards the transposition of EU regulatory framework specified in Annex III of the “COMMON AVIATION AREA AGREEMENT between the European Union and its Member States and the Republic of Moldova”.
5. Ensuring correspondence with international organizations of civil aviation (ICAO, EASA, EUROCONTROL, IAC) on the subjects that regards ATM/ANS services and functions.
6. Analyzing the reports of aeronautical events in which ANSP were involved or ANSP contribute to those events.
7. Centralizing information and coordinating of actions with all stakeholders on the development of the National Air Navigation Services Development Plan (LSSIP), in accordance with ATM European Master Plan.
8. Frequencies management in the band granted to civil aviation of R.M.
9. Registration of radio transmitters and maintain the national radio transmitters database, used in civil aviation industry in R.M..
10. Issuance / extension / suspension / revocation of Authorizations for the use of radio transmitters.
11. Recording the emergency location transmitters (ELTs), assigning hexadecimal codes.
12. Coordination at strategical level of the processes related to Air Space Management.
13. Verification and review of the document package related to the designed instrument flight procedures in order to their approval.
