General information

Flight Operations section contains the information concerning the requirements for certificates / authorizations and approvals issuance necessary for operating an aircraft registered in the Republic of Moldova.

Air operations in the Republic of Moldova are carried out in compliance with Civil Aviation Law no. 1237-XIII of 09.07.1997 of the Republic of Moldova, with all subsequent amendments and in compliance with all applicable regulations in force.

Air operations are classified as follows:

A. Commercial Air Transport

These are paid air services in the activity of passenger, cargo and mail transport.

Operations are performed on the basis of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova on the basis of national regulatory documents RAC-AOC (Published in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova no. 92-94/325 of 08.07.2005) and international 1/JAR-OPS JAR-OPS 3;

B. Air work operations:

It is basically any other air service paid besides those mentioned above: the transport of passengers, cargo and mail (for example: spraying forest fires, flight trainings, protection services, etc.).

Operations are performed on the basis of an Air Operator Authorization (AOA) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova on the basis of national regulatory documents RAC-AOA (Published in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova no. 47-48 /130 of 26.04.2001) and RAC –OPS 1/RAC-OPS 3 (Published in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova no.88-91/556 of 11.05.2012);
