IMPORTANT: We recommend downloading, printing and filling in the Epidemiological Card before going to the airport. Consider that the Epidemiological Card is mandatory to be presented on entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

TRAVEL CONDITIONS TO THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE SELF-ISOLATION REGIME BY CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA AND FOREIGNERS

The conditions regarding the entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of foreigners and stateless persons as well as the requirements regarding the self-isolation regime are established in Decision no.11 of May 15, 2020 (with subsequent amendments) of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP).

EXTRACT FROM THE CNESP DECISIONS:

1. Conditions for entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova

According to paragraph 12 of the CNESP Decision no.11 of May 15, 2020 (with subsequent amendments), until June 30, 2020, it is prohibited entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of foreigners and stateless persons with the following exceptions:

  1. family members of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova;
  2. persons who have long-term visa, a residence permit or a document equivalent to a residence permit, issued by the authorities;
  3. persons traveling for professional interest, proved by visa, residence permit or another equivalent document;
  4. members of diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited in the Republic of Moldova, of international organizations/missions, as well as members of their families or staff who may provide humanitarian aid;
  5. persons in transit, including repatriated ones, following granting of consular protection. The transit itinerary will be established by the General Inspectorate of the Border Police;
  6. persons traveling for medical and humanitarian reasons, including the accompanying persons, depending on the circumstances (proved by supporting documents);
  7. cross-border workers;
  8. drivers and maintenance personnel of means of transport involved in transport of goods, flight crews / vessels and trainsets brigades.

2. Conditions regarding observance of 14-days self-isolation regime

According to paragraph 13 of the CNESP Decision no.11 of May 15, 2020 (with subsequent amendments) persons entering the territory of the Republic of Moldova, shall complete the epidemiological card, as well as sign the declaration on their own responsibility to respect the regime of self-isolation for 14 (fourteen) days in established places.

According to paragraph 14 of the CNESP Decision no.11 of May 15, 2020 (with subsequent amendments) are exempted from the obligation of self-isolation regime for fourteen (14) days in established places, in the absence of clinical signs of respiratory infection or fever, the following categories of persons:

  1. drivers and maintenance personnel of means of transport involved in transport of goods and persons, flight crews/vessels and trainsets brigades.
  2. persons traveling for medical and humanitarian reasons, including the accompanying person, depending on the circumstances (proved by supporting documents);
  3. pupils/students enrolled in educational institutions outside of the Republic of Moldova who shall pass tests or exams on completion of the gymnasium / lyceum / higher education cycle;
  4. persons traveling for professional interest, proved by visa, residence permit or another equivalent document;
  5. cross-border workers;
  6. members of diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited in the Republic of Moldova, of international organizations/missions, as well as members of their families or staff who may provide humanitarian aid;
  7. persons in transit.
